A high-level account of my responsibilities. Designs, internal materials, and confidential project details are not shown.
Experienced administrators value the speed and familiarity of command-line workflows. Newer users need a more discoverable visual experience.
My work spans both: redesigning storage optimization and configuration workflows while considering how different administrators approach the same tasks. The challenge is to support expert ways of working while making complex processes easier to understand.
Consider the knowledge, familiarity, and working habits that experienced storage administrators bring to the product.
Shape interfaces and flows that help users discover configuration tasks and understand how to move through them.
I create internal onboarding videos that introduce IBM technologies and explain their use cases.
Content writers develop the scripts. I take responsibility for video creation: motion graphics, animation, sound, and the finished video. This is a separate effort from my DFSMS product-design work.
The work includes technology topics and AI-supported use cases, using IBM Carbon design principles to support a consistent visual language.
Bring supplied content into a visual sequence.
Use timing and movement to explain complex ideas.
Bring the visual and audio elements together in the finished video.
