Benchmarking is an internal application for Kearney consultants to analyze spending, price and savings data. It brings all your procurement activities and related data together in one place.
Problem Statement
For benchmarking on Spend, Savings, and Price for your client proposals and projects, the KPS Benchmarking App is your one-stop shop. We have developed helpful benchmarking indicators that will assist consultants in achieving better outcomes by utilizing Kearney’s access to extensive data sources and insights gained from completing several client projects across industries and regions.
It takes weeks to compare the costs of logistics and procurement since it requires exchanging several emails, making phone calls to various consultants, and sifting through a ton of excel spreadsheet data. Our intention was to make benchmarking the final destination where Kearney consultants can evaluate the price, saving, and expenditure statistics of their peers in order to attain the desired outcome.
My Role
I find value in conducting workshops with project stakeholders. Our process commences with a discovery workshop, followed by discussions and documentation. We organized a workshop and brought together the stakeholders. By the conclusion of the third day, we had developed user personas and a preliminary user flow diagram.
Kearney Consultant
Kearney consultants can use the benchmarking dashboard. The consultant can apply the filters, download the visualization (Graphs) and the data behind the visualization.
Kearney Power user
Power users upload the spend cube in the benchmarking application. He can request the Admin add a new client to upload the data or link to existing clients. Power users can edit the metadata of the clients associated.
Kearney Admin
Kearney Admin has the right to create a new client, download the raw data uploaded by the power user. Then, an offline process called “harmonizing the data” will be handled by Admin. Finally, he can upload the harmonized data and assign SME to review it.
Kearney SME
SME’s are the experts from Kearney who can review the data, approve the data upload request.
